Jostein Alvestad tucks in for a miserable Masters 40+ ABR State Championship race. Jim Nowak (ABD for right), a frequent participant on the EMC2 rides also joined the race. Great to see him out there.
Jostein stays safe as the field spreads out in pursuit of an escape. Its slippery out there!
The downpour and speed leave many riders off the back, while Jostein stays tucked in. His teammate Radcliff is in the 10 man escape up the road.
Here, the escape comes together. Vince Boyer checks to see who he is towing around. Radcliff and Otero glued to the front. . .
Now the move is in high gear. Otero powers the group away from the peloton. Eventually, this group will lap the field and go for the sprint finish!
Radcliff grabs 3rd Place in the Masters 40+ ABR State Championship along with Ricardo Otero (2nd) and Mike Heagney (1st).
Radcliff celebrates a little payout with competitor and friend, Ric Otero, who has been a solid wheel to try to follow!
