Reeves, Radcliff, Alvestad and Kime line up for the 40+ 123's (3's for Gareth). Matt Howley with a broken hand came out to cheer us on (background) and he was kind enough to bring coffee for ABD folks.

Reeves and Jostein line up. Jostein is ALWAYS smiling. Well, maybe. See a later photo and you decide.

Radcliff hangs in the pack monitoring Brian Harris (1st overall that morning), Kelly (2nd overall) and Doughty (4th overall and nipping at his heels). Jostein was not far behind me next to Andy Swims.

Radcliff is feeling sooo much better than yesterday. The legs could respond to any attack -the question is whether he will respond to the right move.

Radcliff is still aware of Tom Doughty who can be an absolute beast when he wants to turn the screws on you (long red sleeves). Mark Serafin (Lamb Little) is another guy to watch, and maybe he is motivated to ride in honor of his hurt teammate Charles Gerlach.

Jostein finds his way into a solid move. We now have an EMC2 man up the road which actually helps Tim Radcliff and Gareth!

Wow, this might hurt Jostein. These guys are going hard, and that 403 miles he did in the 24 hour challenge is stinging Jostein right about now.

I honestly do not know what to write here. That is a face I have never seen before. Maybe the breakaway hurts.

Jim Kime is not only working hard, but talking to Tim during the race about strategy. If Tim would have followed his advice, he would have ridden with Scott Pearson to the break.

Now Gareth is in a 2nd group up the road. And this groups eventually swells into a real move. The pack came close to getting them, but Radcliff and Kime sure were not helping.

In the Masters 40+ 4's Andrew Stevens takes 2nd with help from Jim Landenberger and Gus Rosada!
